Hi, I'm 23 years old and very recently I have discovered a lump in my armpit. Last year I went for a mammogram as my doctor felt a lump in my left armpit. I could not feel what she was feeling at the time but I got the all clear and discovered I have axillary breast tissue. A few days ago I felt in roughly the same place that I have another lump which is definitely not breast tissue. It's also just come out of nowhere. This lump is hard, roughly the size of an almond and does not move. It's not painful either. I'm worried this time as I know what my axillary breast tissue feels like and it can get quite painful during my cycle so I know this unrelated. I rang my doctor and he said it's probably due to shaving. I have never had a problem shaving before so this did not reassure me. I really want this looked at, but unfortunately because of covid, it's getting quite difficult to get appointments. I am having breast changes too which isn't helping my worries. I'm just concerned as this has come out of nowhere and it already feeling quite big. I am going to keep an eye on it to see if there are any changes but I'm not going to rest until someone has checked it out. I don't want to bother my doctors but I also don't take lumps and bumps lightly. Has anyone had something similar to my experience?
