Hello.  I have just joined tonight.  After a few days of reading posts, I figured I would find the answer if I joined. 

My Mum has been coughing up blood and dark clots of phlegm every morning for the past couple of weeks.  She has the sensation of something stuck in her throat.  She had a chest x-ray last week and saw the consultant a couple of days later on Friday who said the x-rays were clear but sent her for a CT scan.  She got two CT scans on Sunday, one of her neck and one from her head down to her waist.  They put dye into her too.  She hasn't heard anything yet and no appointment has been booked for her results. I thought she might have had a call to tell her when to go for the results.
