  • Hello Peggypeggy

I'm sorry to hear that you're facing a probable cancer diagnosis. I know how scary this can be and it's understandable that you're feeling anxious about things.

We've lots of ladies here who have been through breast cancer including [@Jolamine]‍ and [@Chriss]‍ and I'm sure that they will post to share their experience and offer some support once they see your post.

I'd encourage you to also give our team of nurses a call to chat things through. I know they will be able to give you some support and advice ahead of your next appointment. They're available Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

Please don't feel that you're alone Peggypeggy. Keep in touch with us here on the forum and I'm sure that the community will do its best to support you.

    Best wishes,

  • Hows the day today? the waiting and not knowing felt almost unbaearable, being given the diagnosis was a relief to the what if. My mom had aggressive breast cancer followed two years later by me getting a different variety! Both of us worked through each step bit by bit and looked at it that there was every reason for the treatment to work, it did. A hard time, i went for distraction everytime from walking to baking, to messaging others. I made my mother in law a crumble - she wasnt sure what it was but it tasted nice, it made me laugh to think she didnt know what it was. I have been distracted from the news i await now for a different issue. Easire said than done and if you cant bake it, but it and scoff it. Hoping the results are with you sooner rather than later. Not sure this helps, i found that knowing others got through what i feared the worst helped me.

  • Hi Charlie TS

thanks for replying it actually helps a lot to chat and read other peoples story's and knowing you know how hard it is waiting for results

i was really busy at work today which helped though I made quite a few mistakes.  But then that's nothing new

sorry to hear you and your mum were both unwell I hope you are ok now

i have told my work team but said I only want positive story's as someone always knows someone who has had it

of course I am up and down  I should hear next Thursday 1st april

i will put on here  the results

    take care and thanks again

  • Hi Peggypeggy

Just wanted to let you know you are definitely not alone. I was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer in January. Just finished my 2nd round of chemotherapy.

I remember the waiting game at the start, so many questions and uncertainties. I'm sure you've heard it all before but it does get easier, especially when treatment starts.

At the moment I am awaiting my MRI results which will determine whether the chemo I've had so far is working and it is petrifying me. Feel a bit like I'm back at the start. But just believe that with every bit of information you get a little bit of the uncertainty goes away.

In the meantime we are all here to help you through. If you have any questions feel free to ask away. All the best to you and keep updating us.

    Amy x
