Possible Vocal cord cancer /Biopsy

So my father in law has suffered with hoarseness for nearly 2 years progressively got worse . 
he got a 2 week referral to a ent consultant who did a endoscopy . They found a irregularity on his right vocal cord . 
He has to wait a whole month for a biopsy and it seems really long is this the usual wait time . 

has anyone been through this and come out with good news ️

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. Unfortunately it is quite common to wait this amount of time for a biopsy, particularly at the moment as wait times are generally longer than usual.

    I know the uncertainty must be difficult and it's never easy waiting for appointments or results. I hope it comes around quickly and that you can find out more soon.
