Swollen lymph nodes all over

Hey there im a 25 year old female and I'm hoping someone may have advice or experience to help me out with this. Basically 2 months ago I noticed a small lump on left groin called Dr who said it was an abscess and put me on two rounds of antibiotics. Turned put when I requested to be seen by another dr it was a lymph node and she noticed all the glands in my neck were swollen also so she did full bloods checking virus and autoimmune screening etc all came back clear.

Was sent for a scan of left side of groin which confirmed there were a couple of enlarged nodes but only 6mm in size so no need for biopsy.

Since then I have felt one behind my ear in my armpit the other side of my groin and a few over my stomach. Dr didn't say much only that she would send a referral for outpatients (1 year wait) to see if they would like to investigate more.

I'm worried sick with it all and thought with them swelling all over this would be taken more seriously. I don't or havnt felt unwell other than this past few weeks having sudden drops in my blood pressure and a nauseous feeling.

Whats people opinions on all this and should I be looking for this to be taken more seriously?

  • Hello Shauna951,

I know it can be difficult but try to put these worries out of your mind as they only have a negative impact on your mental health. You can keep in touch with your doctor to find out if the year-long wait can be shortened. If you ever feel unhappy with the way you are being looked after, you may want to consider getting a second opinion you can find out more about this here. I hope you find the reassurance you need.

    Best wishes,
