I'm 62 and following post menopausal bleeding I was referred for a pelvic scan. This showed Ihad a polyp and my womb lining was 14mm+. I was admitted as a day patient fora hysteroscopy, but although they could get the camera in the cervix wouldn't open up enough for the instrument to take the sample or curterise the polyp. After a delay due to COVID I was admitted for a hysterocopy under anaesthetic. That was over a month ago and still no results. My doctor is chasing them up but in the meantime I am experiencing white discharge and lower abdomen stomach cramps like period pains. So far it's taken 4 months to get to this stage and I'm worried sick. With every pain I convince myself it's cancer. Then I calm myself with the adage "no news is good news!" Has anyone else had to wait so long for results?
