Liver resection while pregnant, any advice?

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to write this but the Liver Trust doesn't seem to have much resection advice and the forum isn't very active. 

I have a 15cm adenoma on my liver, it's benign but at danger of rupturing particularly due to the size and the fact that I'm 13 wks pregnant (hormones make it grow). 

Has anyone had a resection while pregnant? What happened? It's a pretty rare situation to be in, hence not being able to find much info. I realise I have to put my own health ahead of the baby, which is crap in itself, just worried about how difficult recovery will be. I'm preparing myself for a tough slog!

    Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear about the position that you find yourself in. It's obviously an incredibly difficult time for you.

    We don't have any members here who have mentioned going through a liver resection whilst pregnant, however, I can see that recently [@Dolly8]‍ and [@immyllew]‍ both mentioned that they were having the procedure. I also know that David aka [@gruntifen]‍ underwent a resection a few years back. I've tagged them into my reply to you here in the hope that they may reply to share their general experiences of recovery after the surgery. 

    I hope that all goes smoothly with the surgery, recovery, and the rest of your pregnancy.
