Bruising and night sweats

Hi

I'm 34 year old female and over the last year I've started to have unusual bruising. I have had bruising on the backs of my legs, inside of my thighs and on the backs of my arms and underarm.

I did go to my gp and had blood tests. At first my lupus marker was up and my blood clotting time was slightly outside the normal range. Had two more blood tests and my lupus marker was normal but blood clotting still slightly outside the normal range. I was referred to haematology and had more blood tests but nothing found, they came back normal. Haematology were great and wrote a letter to my go to refer back if my symptoms worsen. During this time I had the odd night sweat but didn't think of it as a symptom, thought I was hot due to being on my period.

It's  now a few months later and I having night sweats more often. I don't think it's linked to my period as it's happening a few nights every week now. I thought my bruising had lessened as haven't had any big ones for awhile but just smaller 50p sized ones on backs of my calf's or backs of my arms. But have now noticed a big unexplained bruise on the inside of my arm near my arm pit. I am tired all the time but that could be due to everyone being in a pandemic or being a teacher, or just being a bit tired.

Im unsure if I'm over reacting and should just see how things go or maybe go back to my GP? As previously my blood tests were fine, do I just need to accept that I have started to bruise a bit more?

I appreciate hearing you thoughts and advice, thank you

  • Hi there ...

I'd deff go back to G P and ask for blood counts again to see what's happening with your red and white cell count... has it changed ?  It's your health ... write down all your symptoms and put them to your Dr.. yes it's hopefully o.k ... but better to be on the safe side with unexplained bruising....

I'm not medically qualified,  but my granddaughter started with that ... and her Dr kept saying she was low iron ... we should have pushed more ...  let us know how you go ... Chrissie x
