Query for my partner

Hi all,

My partner has a lump on his neck and went to the hospital a few days ago and they said it is not aggressive because it is not on a bone. They done bloods and they phoned him this afternoon saying that his blood test came back ok but they are sending out a letter for an urgent procedure and when he has this procedure he has to ring a head consultant to let her know it is done?

He is confused as he got no other information,  should we be worried or are they just not giving much to him because he is not asking the right questions?

Thank you

Jenny

  • Hello Jenny and a warm welcome to Cancer Chat!

I can understand why you are feeling so worried as you are currently dealing with so much uncertainty having to wait for your partner's various tests and results. It's good news that his bloods came back fine and I hope that he can have this urgent procedure done very soon and that he then finds out more about it all once he speaks to the head consultant.

Try not to read anything into the fact that you haven't been given any additional information as it doesn't necessarily mean anything and it may just be the standard process in which things are done. Once he has had the procedure and he has been able to discuss results with the head consultant, he will have a chance to ask all the questions that spring to his mind.

The only thing you can do for now really is take a day at a time and keep busy and focused on other things. It won't be long now before you get some definite answers and I am keeping everything crossed for you that it turns out to be nothing to worry about.

    Best wishes,
