Smear test

I had a smear test today after having spotting after sex. The doctor said my cervical was vascular and not as healthy as it should look. I am literally in tears wondering if it could be cancer. My daughter is 3 and I can't bear the thought of leaving her and my partner. I should have a hospital appointment in 2 weeks and my smear results in 4 weeks. Anyone else had this. Also my last smear, 3 years ago was clear.

  • Welcome to the forum Tinachris although I'm sorry for the reason you've joined us.

    I'm sure some of our members who have been in a similar situation will offer their support and advice to you soon but in the meantime I want you to know we're thinking of you and wishing you all the best with your hospital appointment in two weeks time.

    Waiting for tests and results is always tough but I hope this information will help until you know more.
