I've just seen your post and wondering what your results were from your colonoscopy if you don't mind me asking?

ive had bleeding for a year and a half and some other symptoms and had a fit test a few weeks ago and the result was over 400, the hospital rang me last week to see if I could attend the next day and I'm now booked in for a colonoscopy in 2 weeks. I'm 38 and very scared but would rather know what I'm facing. 
The consultant kept saying it was alarming but then that it could be haemorrhoids or a polyp.

How did your colonoscopy go for you? My partner has fit result over 200 and going for colonoscopy tmrw.  He is 39 so we are very worried.

All the best. Hopefully your results won't take too long. I had my colonoscopy in June, there were 20 biopsies taken and I still haven't received my results though I'm taking that as a good sign. 

That's a long time ago. Were you told when you would get a call about the biopsies? It looks good if you havent. We were told that we would get a call about it  in the next 5 to 7 days.

I was told I would get the results a few weeks after the procedure but it's been delayed due to covid though when I spoke with consultants secretary she said that if there was something wrong I would most likely know by now. 
Hopefully all will be okay and you won't have to wait long. Maybe depends where you are from too in regards to waiting times. 

Thats probably it. Fingers crossed for you too.  Just really would like to know as I know he is so worried.

My FIT came back last night and I had the number 400. My brother had colon cancer and I'm worried as I use naproxen and paracetamol daily and have done for many years.  

Please can someone put my mind at ease?

Maroon coloured blood every time he passes a bm for nearly 2weeks now

The wait is the worst bit.

I had severe anaemia and was rushed in for a blood transfusion. I hadn't really noticed anything with my bm at that point and they thought it was due to heavy periods. 

I soon started to notice black bits in my poop and sometimes the whole toilet bowl was Maroon.  It was so scary but it turned out OK thank goodness. Please stay as positive as you can. 

Have they put your husband on the 2 week pathway? They put me on it and all my tests were completed around that timescale.

He has been passing maroon blood and has maroon stools for two weeks now

He is being fast tracked on the 2 week wait thing

Just waiting for a date for the colonoscopy 

I just freaked out when I saw the number 400

I'm just thinking with that a high number the chances of cancer have got to be higher? 

My FIT test was also 400, so not necessarily. 

I understand your worry but hope I have helped to ease it if just slightly.

I will have a colonoscopy on Wednesday because of 400, I’ve cried for whole week, really worried and scared. Please pray for me

My mum had a colonoscopy yesterday on 2WW pathway, she had a FIT test of 380, turned out to be diverticulitis and polyps which were removed there and then, nothing sinister seen! Hope this treasurers anyone going through this x
