Referred to Breast Clinic after physio found lump (30 y/o)

Hi All,

I was wondering if anybody had any words of wisdom or reassurance.

I attended physio therapy for a shoulder injury 2 weeks ago and on examination my physio wrote me a letter to be seen by my GP due to night sweats and itching of my breast.

After her suggesting a see my GP i examined my breast for lumps and found a lump in the area that is itchy. I was examined by my GP today after finally pluckng up the courage to go and she was able to feel the lump and has referred me to a breast clinic. No further information was given, just that I would receive an appointment to be seen in the next 14 days.

I have no idea what to think :(  do they send everyone they see for a referral?

Thanks

S

  • Hey,

i don't have any words of wisdom but I am in a similar situation!
Found a lump around 2 weeks ago, doctor said she thinks it's a Fibroadomena or whatever it is!

She instantly referred me to be eeen within 2 weeks too which has terrified me thinking it's the worst, however I do know they refer most people who have lumps in breast as a precaution as they can't diagnose properly without scans.

I would say try not to worry but that is easier said than done!
I hope you get seen quickly and get good news! X

    thanks, yaz x
