Pancreatic cancer genetic testing

Hello everyone.
we have a history of pancreatic cancer in the family, my father, my aunt, my grandmother and her brother. I have an appointment on 04/03/2021 to start the process of genetic testing (although I was under the assumption that the faulty gene had yet to be discovered). To be honest, I was quite unconcerned about starting this until they asked what did I expect from the procedure. Forewarned is for armed is always a bonus. I was wondering if anyone else has been through this?  Is there any chance of phrophylactic treatment? Or would it be a case of close monitoring etc.

Thank you in advance for any advice.
