Grade 1 Stage 3 endometrial cancer

I have recently had my histology results after surgery - TLH + BSO + PLND - and am now waiting to start chemotherapy. I’m recommended 6 rounds of Paclitaxel and Carboplatin. Fluctuating between hope and despair. I had no evidence in the lymph nodes, which I think is good, but microscopic evidence on the outer surface of the uterus. Feeling scared about the chemo - will I be able to carry on working for example? And scared about the long term prospects. I’d love to hear from anyone with a similar diagnosis and/or experience.

Thank you! That’s kind of you. I’m waiting for chemo at the moment recovering from surgery which was January 20th. Trying to enjoy this interlude where I feel quite well if I dont worry about the future too much. I’ve accepted your friend request. I need a bit of time to figure out my way around this site so hopefully I can find my way back to you. I’ve got lots of questions. Take care. J

my mum is receiving chemo for recurrent endometrial cancer. She's completed 5 cycles. One more cycle to go. Desperately hoping the nasty cells in the lymph nodes are destroyed..

I was 1a grade 3, can I ask how the recurrence was found, I hv my lst check up October and only checking cuff but worry might have moved elsewhere as they never tested lympthnode. Hoping that ur mum is ok xx

mum had quite bad back pain. That was the main symptom. CT scan showed recurrence in para ortic lymph nodes lymph node and pelvic lymph nodes

Thankfully mum has completed 6 rounds of chemo and the lymph nodes seem to have shrunk to a normal size. She is now on an immunotherapy trial drug?
