Mole regrowth

I had a raised mole surgically removed by my GP on my abdomen about 18 months ago for cosmetic reasons.
I have just noticed it itching slightly and when I've looked it seems to have started to grow back in the same spot. This must have happened very recently and quickly as I'm sure I'm sure I'd have noticed it before.

I will try contact my doctor, but anyone had any experience of this?

Hi,
Was it done by a punch biopsy? If so, it doesn't always remove the whole mole. I would ask the GP for a referral to a dermatologist where, if they feel it's applicable, they will remove it by excision. Good luck and please let us know how you get on,

Thanks for response.
I had it cut out (excised?) at doctors by a GP. Possible he didn't get it all......?

Hi Rachel,
Sadly there is a possibility it wasn't completely removed (I'm not a fan of GP's removing moles). Please push for a referral to ensure it's checked out properly.
