Worried out of my mindddddd urgent refferal

Hi All,

I had CIN3 in 2014 successfull removal of all cells follow up 6 months later clear was advised to come back in 5 years but I was pregnant last year so got my letter a little over a week ago booked straight away no hestitation went thursday.

Nurse said I can see what would appear to be a ecroptian im not concerned enough to call a dr in but I would like you to see the GO because of your history, no worries il come back at the nearest availability Dr looked yesterday we went through any symptoms I said no but the smear was dreadfully painful and I dont usually have that issue Ive had x5 children!

Tiny bit of spotting if I have to double up on my pill but nothing out of the ordinary....ok well she says I am certain this is ecroption im not risking it can we send you for a emergency colposcopy? Yes of course I would much rather it checked out! So she says you will receive a automated text shortly it does mention cancer  just so you arent shocked by it. No worries got the text felt pretty good bit worried but I have gone and if its anything Im on the right path! 10 minutes later a second text comes through....Hi Also can we get you booked in for a kidney function blood test?

Well we didnt discuss that I mentioned no urinary issues nor provided a urine sample no bleeding in urine etc....So I turn to nhs google and it clearly states that this blood test should be performed once cervical cancer is diagnosed.... well thats shen i had the biggest panic attack i havent eaten since I felt sick to my stomach I havent been able to even function today Ive been crying etc I'm just wondering if this was standard procedure? I'm just soo upset and feel like my gp was lying about her not being overly concerned now anyone in a similar situation?

  • I'm sorry about the unexpected second text you received from your GP surgery Bubblymum and can understand your concern.

It would be best to ask your GP about this as only they can explain why this blood test is being carried out.

Hopefully some of our members will offer their thoughts and advice to you soon but in the meantime I want you to know we're thinking of you and will have our fingers crossed for a good outcome.

If you'd like to find out more about the colposcopy just click here.

    Kind regards,
