My lovely partner has been diagnosed with throat cancer. We went for results of scans and told a very large tumour which can't be operated on. As he can't swallow and has lost so much weight he is having a feeding tube fitted to try and build him up before treatment. . As he has other serious underlying conditions they are only giving him 6 radiotherapy sessions over 2 weeks. It has also spread to one lymph node and the lung and they have mentioned chemo after a 4 week break. He didn't want a prognosis but I'm thinking this is only palliative care and he hasn't got long left I know I sound pessimistic and I'm positive in front of him but inside I'm breaking up. Wondering if anybody else has been in this position and how do you deal with it?
