Good evening,
I am new to this forum, and have a concern.
For a bit of background. Hubby has lung conditions. Plural thickening and COPD. 2 years ago he had a pet scan, and all was ok. A follow up CT ,that was never reported back, 6 months later. He is under a repsiratory consultant.
Anyway, doc sent him for an X-ray. Due to COVID he went in alone.
The radiographer was startled when the X-ray was taken, then said " oh are you under Dr ####?" "Yes" he replied. "Oh that's good, because this isn't normal, and if you weren't already under the doctor I would have had to ask you to wait to see someone".
I know they are not supposed to comment, but that ship has sailed, and now seeds of worry have been planted.
It took a ct to see the problems he had before, and all that had shown on the first X-ray was something slightly a Nola that needed further investigation to clarify.
This X-ray was 5 days ago, and the consultant hasn't called yet.
Has anyone else experienced an alarmed radiographer before? Should we be worried?
Any shares will be much appreciated.
