Just back from hospital after tests, they took biopsies etc and the lady who did them said it looks like womb cancer, middle stages and we would know more when they get results. xx

Hi Jolamine she said that I will get results in a week or two, she said she is going to prempt and book an appointment for ct scan. I think I was prepared for such a result as I felt that something wasnt right. xxx

Sometimes we just know when something isn't right, but let's hope that, if this is the case, you've caught it early. I'm glad to hear that your consultant has already booked a CT scan and, is leaving no stone unturned. You really need an accurate diagnosis to give your treatment the best chance of success.

Have you got a date for the CT yet? I hope that it comes through soon.

Hi Jolamine, I got my results today Im Now waiting for ct scan and echo my heart as I have womb cancer stage 2 and need a full hysterectomy. I feel ok as I had that something was wrong xx

Thank you for the update. I am so sorry to hear the news. Even though you suspected this, it still comes as a shock when you are told. Believe it or not, you should find that it gets easier to cope with, now that you know what is wrong and can start to fight this.

I am delighted to hear that you have got your appointment through at last. I had a CT on 25th February and was told that it would take about 2 weeks to get the results. So far, I've had no word.

Got a phone all yesterday to ask if I can see the gynaeologist tomorrow morning, Im not sure if it is results from scan from last week, but also I think it might be as they didnt say I had to go back up. Will le you know, hope ll is ok with you xxx

It probably is for your results. I shall be keeping my fingers crossed for good news. I'm doing fine thanks - no further forward with tests. I got an appointment for a telephone consultation with a gastroenterologist yesterday. This is for Thursday, but I've no idea what it is for.

Hi it looks to be contained in womb, so about 15th April i will have full hysterectomy by keyhole ;o) xx

This sounds better than you expected. It is reassuring that it is contained and hasn’t spread elsewhere. No matter how well prepared we think we are, a diagnosis of cancer always comes as a shock. Most of us feel as if we had been hit by a ton of bricks immediately after hearing this. I hope that you are managing to accept this after such a long wait.

This is not the end of the world. You’ve got it. It’s good news that you don’t have long to wait for your surgery. It’s also reassuring that they can do the procedure by keyhole. This should make the operation much easier and should shorten your recuperation time considerably. Did you discuss any possible treatment post-surgery today?

Have had m op keyhole, felt great didnt have much pain the only problem I had was my blood sugars went upto 24 so I was on drip and Insulin. I came home 4 days later I think iy was, taken things easy still on insuline just now as it is going up and down but not as high as it went. I am still waiting on my rinse results to see if there isany free cancer cells or if they managed to get it all.
