Papillary lesions, should I worry?

Hi everyone I'm new on here, I had my first gp visit in December as I have a huge breast lump that I have had for years. It was checked years ago and told it was fine, however it got so big I had it checked again. Nurse said she had found another 3 lumps and I was seen at the clinic 3 weeks ago for ultrasound and biopsies.  Got my results today, the big lump is fibroadenoma and can stay where it is. The other lump which def feels totally different to the others( I now have 8-10) has to come out for further testing.  Sure she said its papillary lesion. I'm worried sick now about going through another procedure, has anyone had these lesions and did any turn out to be cancer?

  • Hi Kelsi,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I can understand this must be worrying and I'm sure the uncertainty and prospect of further tests is unsettling.

I hope it's not too long for you to wait for your next appointment and to get some answers about this. Try to keep yourself busy as much as possible while you wait, to help keep your mind off things.

Hopefully you'll receive further replies to your post soon - I can see you've also been speaking to others on the forum which is great.

I hope you find out more soon.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
