Worried about TVS results

Hello

I had an abdominal & TVS scan on Friday because of pelvic pain, bowel pressure, bladder pressure, bleeding/heavy period. Ca125 at 41. The sonographer asked about my cyst. I told them that I wasn't aware that I had a cyst only a fibroid (diagnosed inSept 2019). Always had very heavy periods. The sonographer also asked if I took hormones, which I don't. She then called her colleague who then asked about the cyst, the first sonographer told him I wasn't told about it. The second sonographer left the room & said he would have to check back at my previous scan. I'm very anxious that I wasn't told about my cyst. I spoke with my GP she said it was small & follicular. However I'm now worried that the diagnosis originally was wrong & ive been left with something that has grown & perhaps cancerous. I'm 53. My mind is in overdrive. They sonographers just whispered to each like I wasn't there & said I'd hear back in a couple of days.

Sorry for long post,

  • Hello Grobeau,

Your sonographers are doing what they can to investigate these symptoms and it's important that they address any concerns you have. Ahead of your next appointment, you might like to write down any questions you have so you know everything will be covered.

I hope this will help you feel more prepared,
