Neck lump on right side of neck

Hi I'm just looking for advice. It's been well over a year now since I found a small lump on the back of my neck on the right side. After numerous visits to my Gp, I'm getting told different things. It's a cyst, or I can't feel anything there. I know it's there and family members have felt this lump. I'm unsure. It's not moved. But I have started choking in past few months. Not sure if that's connected to this lump. I also experienced  hoarseness in voice which I've mentioned in the past. I'm anxious and worried as I don't know what it could be. They referred me for ultrasound. I have it on Monday and I'm scared. Can anyone give me advice?

  • Hi Buch1995,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I can imagine this must be a little worrying and I know the waiting for an appointment is never easy. It's good that you've got the referral, hopefully this will give you peace of mind.

The only thing to really do is sit tight and wait - it often helps to keep yourself busy in the meantime, to help keep your mind off things.

I hope you're able to find out more soon about this.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
