2 different cancers in 2 different areas(kidney & Thyroid)

Hi , 

I'm Jemma , I'm 41 and mum of 3 , wife of just one :) 

Throughout December I incidentally had 2 different cancers found. Firstly  nodule on my thyroid and secondly a Bosniak IV on my right kidney ! Its alot to take in , alot of appointments and alot of different people to talk to . Neither speak to the other so I have to relay all the information .

I know that my kidney will be removed first but what I'd like to know is how do I stay positive for my thyroid removal after the pain of kidney removal , how do you prepare yourself to go again ? I've kinda got in my head it's just my kidney I need sorting but it isnt I then have to go again 3/4 months after.

Anybody any experience with a Bosniak IV and if you required anything further treatment after removal ?

    Hi Jemma

    I'm really sorry to hear of your diagnosis.  It is a worrying time with such a lot of information to try to absorb.  I have recently been diagnosed with a Bosniak 3 cyst on my right kidney, this was also discovered incidentaly.  I also have to have a nephrectomy.  I thought I would reach out to you and see if you would like to communicate and perhaps support each other through our similar journeys?
