AML

Hello everyone, I was diagonised in November 2020 with AML. It was all a shock and treatment began immediately.  I am now through cycle 2 and waiting ot see how I got on.  Anyone else with AML and advice would be welcome.

  • Hello LittleBilllie40

I'm sorry to hear about your recent AML diagnosis. It's understandable that you were left feeling shocked after being given that news and I think most of our members here on the forum will have had similar emotions. I hope that treatment is going smoothly for you and you're not juggling too many side effects.

I've had a look through the forum and I can't see that we have any currently active members who are living with AML but we do have quite a few historical posts which you can find by using the forum search function. It may be that reading through some of those posts gives you some helpful information.

It may be that you're able to connect with others who have AML through an organisation such as Blood Cancer UK who are a more cancer-specific charity. They have an active online forum.

If you'd like to talk to one of our team of nurses about anything then you're most welcome to give them a call. They're available Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040. I'm sure they will be able to give you some support and information.

    I hope this helps.

    Best wishes
