35 and referred to breast clinic

Hello all! This is my first time here.

I think I'm just wanting to write down what I feel like and I figured the best place to do that is here!

I found a lump and puckering of my skin on my right breast last week, so I had a phone consultation with the GP and then a face to face consultation too. He seemed more concerned about the puckering and then found another lump in my left side which I didn't even know was there! So I've been referred and got an email saying if I haven't been contacted by tomorrow to give them a call to get booked in.

In my head I keep flitting between I'm fine and I'm just being silly and they will tell me off when I get there for wasting their time to oh my god what if it's something serious!

I just wondered if anyone had had similar- puckering/ sunken breast and what it was in them? I've tried not to Google!

Thank you if you've read this! I feel better having written it down as only myself and my husband know- we have 3 children (2 teenagers and a 4 year old) and I don't want to worry anyone else!

  • My indents sounds exactly like yours. When I google dimples I feel like that points more to the orange peel look. Mine are my like a scar look like a chunk is missing, or if you have put a stamp on it and it's taken a chunk out. If that makes sense

I can only feel one lump but the doctor said she felt two.
my indents came before the lump though. The lump is movable but the around it and behind it feels like there's squishy soft lumps , I don't know if it's glandular tissue but it's softer. The lump itself is smooth rounded and hard . A bit bigger than a pea I would say. My breasts are really ropey anyway, but this lump is definitely different. Since having my 6 year old they changed and obviously got quite saggy, the skin has lost all elasticity aswell. I've also lost nearly two stone since March which was intended. I saw you have lost weight to. Is that a sign maybe why the dents can happen?? I don't know ‍♀️ this breast also  seems to have shrunken aswell.
mom looking hundred times a day and it is definitely smaller all of a sudden.
I use a hot water bottle on my upper right abdomin due to what I thought was gallbladder but it's not so need further tests. The heat always tests on that boob pretty much so I don't know if heat can cause this either.

I haven't got pain, only a bit sore today but I always have that due to ovulation at the moment.

  • I suppose you know when something is different don't you. I have lost alot of weight (coming up to 5 stone) and I'm far too skinny now but I can't seem to put it back on- my boobs are practically non existent now! My left one still feels normal though, like there's some loose skin and my right one has always been similar (always been a tad bigger too) but the change with the indent etc is noticeable - maybe that's why it's obvious coz I've lost weight? I have no idea!

Hopefully will know more tomorrow. And I hope your tests for your gall bladder issue are ok!

  • Wow that's a lot of weight you've lost, I have read that weight loss can cause the indents too. Just the lumps is the worrying part alongside the dents. Thank you, I have a follow up on Saturday for that problem and then breast clinic Tuesday.
Please update me after your apt tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you xx
