Lump found under nipple - not always bad news

Hi, I've been reading this forum for the last six weeks after finding a pea size lump under my nipple. Scared to say the least and only had my appointment today. I just came on to reassure people that's it's not always bad news my turned out to be a cyst which they drained straight away. Try and keep positive and good luck to you all xx

    A very warm welcome to our forum. Thank you for getting back to us with the result of your visit to the breast clinic today. I am delighted to hear that your 'lump' turned out to be a cyst and, I am sure that many people will be reassured by this. 

    What is the outcome of today's visit for you. Are you going to be monitored annually or do you need any further treatment?

    Hi jolamine,

    im free to go no further tests or monitoring. They said now I've had a cyst more could reoccurr but any worries to go back. Thank you for your reply

    Hi Mia, 

    after reading through a few stories on here I came across yours. Just over a week ago I found a pea size lump in the areola part of my nipple. I had this nipple pierced 7 months ago and have not noticed this lump before. It is painless, maybe a little tender every so often but not all the time. I'm pretty sure it's moveable, when I first found it, it was deep and now it's on the surface and if I push hard enough it goes back down, which is weird. 
     

    but reading your update really has given me some form of reassurance. I really hope it is nothing to worry about. I have a phone appointment with my GP on Friday so only time will tell what will happen next! Xx

    Im Sorry to hear u found a lump. It's such a stress isn't it. But it does sound pretty much the same as mine did. Hopefully you are seen and sorted soon. Good luck and let us know your outcome. I'm sure your be fine xx
