DCIS

Hi,

I have just had a call from my doctor that after my biopsy they found carcinoma in situ. I have a meeting with anurse in gynaecology to talk about this tomorrow and also with the gynaecologist for follow up next week. My question is, can pathological evidence of carcinoma in situ exist with invasive breast cancer in a biopsy test and the biopsy doesn pick up the invasive part? Unfortunately I do have a lump and also had a discharge.

Thank you!
