Hi I'm 53 and I've had breast cancer. I didn't do it by halves though, one breast was. her- with no sentinel node cancer and the other side was her+ with sentinel node cancer.
I've had 7 rounds of FECT, 18 cycles of Herceptin and pertuzumab and also 15 days of radiotherapy. I'm now taking Ibandronic acid everyday for the next 3 years.
Things can only get better

Hi

Just saying hello, do u mind me asking, was it 2 different primary cancers? Iv had bc twice myself

Hi, yes they were both primary cancers. Both fast growing and caught at the same time. The her2+ lump was large so I needed a mastectomy. The her2- lump didn't show up on the mammogram but the ultrasound woman was amazing and she found it. I opted for a double mastectomy because I didn't want the worry of it coming back.

Hi
I had bc in 2005, had mastectomy as it was on lymph nodes, then was diagnosed again in August this year I other breast, decided to have another mastectomy as couldn't face having anyore yearly mammograms and having all the worry again. Mine was 2 primary. X
