Lump inside anus

Hi there, looking for some advice, very worried. I have been struggling with some symptoms, rectal bleeding and discharge, I stupidly decided to see if I can feel anything and I can feel a small lump (movable) just inside the anus, I am booking a doctors appointment but with Covid it's taking longer to be seen. Does anyone know whether this could just be something as simple as an internal hemorrhoids? Research suggests that you can't feel them, going out of my mind thinking it's cancer.

thanks

  • As I noticed this is your first post with us, I wanted to stop by to welcome you to Cancer Chat.

I'm sorry to hear that you found a lump that makes you rather worried but I'm glad that you're booking an appointment with your doctors to have this checked, as they're the only ones who can tell if this is serious. Hopefully, you won't have to wait for too long but until then, feel free to reach out to our nurses and ask any question you might have. They're available on this phone number 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

    Best wishes,
