Lletz - went for one and turned away

Hi

My daugher went for the procedure today as they said HP{V and abnormal cells and CIN2. When she arrived the consultant said she had looked at the results and discussed it with the person who did the biopsy and they thought it was better they did not do it. She is low HPV and 28. Now she is worirred about the fact they didnt do it. They said its worse to do it if she doesnot really need it. They said they have a monthly meeting and they will discuss this at their next meeting but said if she really needed it they would have done it. It may be that after their meeting they decide she does need it but she is more worried than ever.  Has this happened before please?

thanks

  • Welcome to the forum Deb although I'm sorry for the worry your daughter now has after she went for her LLETZ procedure.

Hopefully some of our members who have had this happen will share their experiences and advice with you soon but if you'd like to have a chat with one of our cancer nurses about this in the meantime do give them a call on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they'll do all they can to help and hopefully put your minds at ease.

    Kind regards,
