Failed Smear test

Hi,

I'm 28 and have had 3 failed smear tests, I'm current GP is not very helpful regarding other methods of getting the test done. 

I did call the nurse number on this website, but they were not aware a smear could be done under GA.

I would really appreciate advise on this, as I know I need it done but I know I cant have a ordinary smear test and it's very stressful at this point.

Any advise on how to go about a smear test under GA  provate or otherwise would be greatly appreciated.

  • Welcome to the forum Dani_C although I'm sorry about the difficulties you've been having with your cervical screening.

    Hopefully some of our members who have had a screening done this way will get back to you soon but in the meantime I hope these tips provided on Jo's cervical cancer trust will help. They also have a helpline you can call, so it may be worth getting in touch with them to get their advice.
