Sorry to post this but I went to the GP after noticing discoloration in my breast. After an exam a lump was discovered under the discoloration. I know I shouldn't be worrying but I can't help thinking I should of gone earlier as I had the discoloration about 2 months. Does anyone have any advice for me thanks

    A warm welcome to our forum. You have absolutely done the right thing in getting this looked at so don't feel bad about not going to see your doctor earlier. The important thing is that you did go and that you are now in the best possible hands to get this checked out properly. What did the GP say and were you referred to the breast clinic?  

    I hope you get some clarity on all this very soon and that you will meet others on our forum who have been in a similar situation.

    Thanks for replying. I am waiting for my breast clinic referral I'm hoping it won't be too long . I wish I could stop worrying.

    Hiya

    Thought I would update you. I went to the breast clinic and an ultrasound found nothing I was relieved to say the least. I then had a mamagram on both breasts as standard. They found a mass on the right breast and enlarged lymph node. I had a core biopsy that day and 10 days later diagnosed with cancer.

    I have had surgery and now awaiting radiotherapy. I feel extremely lucky as I would never had known as I had no symptoms and I went with the other breast.
