Fibroadenomas - should I get them checked again?

About 3 years ago I had found 2 fibroadenomas, one was biopsied and confirmed and the other was just assumed to be the same. I was told as I was only 19 at the time (now 23) that it was probably an age thing and that they would probably go.. about 1 year ago I had Mondors desease in the same breast. By the time I went to the hospital they said it was just random and probably wouldn't come back again & that the pain would eventually go. Fast forward to now I still have the occasional pain (not when I'm due on) and both lumps have got bigger. I tried going back to the doctors to get a referral but have been told they probably haven't changed and to leave it. I am worried and don't know what to do!

    Hi Blucy,

Welcome to our forum. I am so sorry to hear about the worry that these lumps. I am not a doctor, so cannot give any advice. I understand that it is rare to have breast cancer at your age, although not impossible. For your own peace of mind if nothing less, I would phone your GP and insist on a referral to the breast clinic, when you feel that the lumps are getting larger.

Please let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Fingers crossed for good news.

    Kindest regards,

    Jolamine xx
