Continously similar symptoms

Hi

I've yet to speak to my GP about this query , I want more advice and information in possible.

Since age 18 I've suffered with tonsillitis where I may never have a break of the symptoms after strong antibiotics,  or even having a break my tonsillitis symptoms come back.

From age 18 my left tonsil has grown , I assumed I still had an infection. But its significantly bigger than my right tonsil , whenever I swallow I feel a lump on my left side of my tonsil.

This year I've been diagnosed with tonsillitis and tonsil stones about 7 times , am I just over thinking that this could be something more serious.

I'd like anyone's advice on how I should go about this , as my GP refuse for me to have my tonsils removed as they have said I need to have it more bacterial times then viral.

Please help

  • Welcome to the forum Kitkatkaris although I'm sorry about the ongoing symptoms you've been contending with since you were 18. It must be very frustrating.

Hopefully you'll hear back from some of our members soon but do be sure to talk things through with your GP. If you have more than one doctor at your surgery you could try seeking out a second opinion. To find out more just click here.
