I have had discharge from my nipple and the consultant has suggested a duct excision.

I had DCIS 8 years ago and when it came back the second time I had a mastectomy and reconstruction (DIEP) of my right breast. 
I had discharge from my left breast which proved to be a blocked duct. I now have discharge again which after mammogram and ultrasound proved to be nothing malignant but the consultant has suggested having the ducts removed as I seem to be prone to recurrences of these discharges.

has anybody else had this procedure and what are the likely recovery times.

I am very wary of going anywhere near a hospital with the Covid-19 pandemic (we are in tier 4 at the moment as it is rife!)
