My partner has noticed tonight that he has a hard lump on the right side of his neck which is closer to the bottom of this neck rather than top. 

I am just really worried and panic easily when it comes to stuff like this (especially when the only thing google says is the C word)

He says it doesn't hurt, but is tender when we press down on it. Years ago I had a lipoma removed and that was soft and moveable. This doesn't feel the same. 

I was just wondering if anyone could give me any late night advice.
