Pancreatic, liver and bowel.

Hi everyone as of yesterday I got the devastating news that my gran has cancer. She found out a week ago and she only told me yesterday. Heartbroken and my heart has been shattered. The love I have for this woman is out of this world.

she has an appointment tomorrow with the specialist to discuss the stage and what can be done... I just want to know now but I know it's only 12 hour till I will now but what is everyone knowledge??

gran has angina and diabetes & is 76 years old.

she has had pain in her back for past two years but she put it down to where she broke her back.

A few months back she started having itchy skin so the doctors done a full blood count two months ago and it came back her liver count was 220

They sent her for a ultrasound and then they sent her for a MRI two weeks ago and she found out last week about it.

She has turned yellow and very tired. She has lost a lot of weight and just looks so small. Her urine is a dark but bright yellow.

What stage do you guys think she is?? How long do you think I have with her?? What do you think can be offered?? So many questions.. why can't they live forever

I'm sorry to hear about your Grandmother's recent news. It's understandable that you're feeling overwhelmed by the diagnosis and what this may mean.

How did her appointment go yesterday? I hope that they were able to offer her some support and options to make things more comfortable for her.

If there's anything you'd like to chat to one of our nurses about you're welcome to call them. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

I know that this will be a difficult time for you all so do keep in touch here on the forum if it helps to get things down in writing. I'm sure the community will do all they can to support you.
