Hysteroscopy results

Hi

Im post menopausal and period free for nearly 3 years. Started Hrt patches this year and 4 months later started bleeding, week on, week off basically for just over 2 months.
Sent for ultrasound and internal scan, where they found a blood filled cyst and womb linining thickening. Had a call that afternoon from Gp referring me for 2 week appt at hospital, which sent me into panic mode!
Anyway had Hysteroscopy yesterday, which was unpleasant but bearable due to the lovely nurses. A small polyp was removed, a biopsy of womb lining taken.
Doctor said he will refer me to probably get cyst monitored over the months and that womb looked ok and that I should hear back in about a week. I'm feeling much more positive now but just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience??

If so would love to chat xxxx

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat, Maiseymoo.

I'm sorry that you had to go for the polyp and womb lining removal, but I'm glad the nurses made it a more bearable experience and that you feel positive about the outcome.

I hope other ladies here on the forum who had gone through a similar experience will stop by shortly to share their stories with you but until then feel free to join other conversations already taking place here, our members are very friendly. I'm sure they'll be happy to chat with you.

    With best wishes,
