Any advice anyone???

Hi all, had an endoscopy approx. 6 weeks ago. 16 biopsies taken. Report stated 'moderate non-erosive gastis' and 'GOJ nodule' amongst other things. I saw the 'nodule' during the endoscopy which was situated on the sphincter. Waits 4 weeks for biopsy results which came back all clear and no further action note. I have constant symptoms and an confused by these results. Should the nodule not be monitored or treated? And what about the gastritis and inflammation that was observed ? Should I ask for a second opinion? X

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat, Bgriff.

I'm sorry to hear that you have to deal with the persistent symptoms you're right now. I'm afraid that I can't tell you what gastritis and inflammation mean as I'm not a doctor, but if you continue to feel uncomfortable, it's probably a good idea to have a second opinion. These symptoms may not be anything serious, but then again, I'm sure you want to get some peace of mind and if possible, to have what is causing them addressed.

Also, feel free to give our nurses and ask any question you may have. Their lines are open Monday - Friday between 9 a.m - 5 p.m on 0808 800 4040.

I hope all goes well for you, Bgriff.

    Best wishes,
