After having a colonoscopy yesterday I feel quite angry that I had to endure the pain I did. It was excruciating. Pain like I have never felt before. It felt like the colonoscope was scraping either side of my colon as it was going in. Surely in this day and age this pain could have been avoided. The doctor performing the colonscopy was quite rude from the onset and continued throughout with his charming bedside manner. The fentanyl and midazolam had no affect. Thank goodness for the entonox. 

Im hoping the doctor was just having an off day and doesnt treat all his patients like that.

However, I have so much praise for the NHS and the nurses that looked after me before and after the procedure.
