Worried I may have OC

Hello, i am 53 ( was on HRT upto 3 weeks ago)I have been having a few symptoms lately that I am concerned about. Initially at the beginning of October I had a bleed which lasted 8 days.. previously I had had some spotting months earlier which I ignored ( silly I know).. I was referred to a Gyne consultant who tried to do a biopsy of my womb in clinic but couldn't do it, so he tried again  a week later whilst under General Anasthetic, once again he couldn't do it due to scarring at the neck of the womb.  I have been having indigestion and heartburn daily which I didn't associate with anything until recently, as I have now lost over half a stone in the past 4 weeks and I feel nauseous, and have had 3 bleeds after intercourse over the past 4 weeks, and a few episodes of pelvic pain, I have had an mri scan on 15/11/20 which the consultant said was ok, but I'm concerned that something could have been missed as the bleeding after intercourse was after the mri was done. I did tell the consultant that I have been having some pain and he just said "well I have done nothing to you do you can't have any pain" .  I  do sometimes feel bloated but don't look particularly bloated .. do you always have a very bloated stomach with OC ? And at the moment I'm not peeing anymore than usual. What do you think?  Am I worrying for nothing?  I have been to my GP today and had some bloods taken as I wanted to see if anything would show up in those results.. please can you give me some advice.. sorry for the long rambling message . J

  • Welcome to the forum Eye2cu although I'm sorry for the reason you've joined us.

It's reassuring to see that the tests you've had so far have come back clear although it must be frustrating not knowing what is causing your symptoms.

You've done the right thing by going back to your GP, so wait for your blood test results to come back and if you're still worried have a chat with your doctor about your concerns and see what options are available to you to figure this out.

Hopefully some of our members who have been in a similar situation will offer their suggestions and advice to you soon as well.

    Kind regards,
