Waiting for results after biopsy on breast

Hi,

I feel awful posting on here when I don't actually have a confirmed diagnosis of anything it's just a maybe but I'm really worried and wondering if anyone can help. I have had a lump on my breast for years and it's not been anything to worry about before but recently it has gotten bigger and standing on out from the skin so I went to my drs and was referred to the breast clinic for a scan. Ended up having two scans and a biopsy taken. They made an appointment to receive my results for two weeks after (which would've been a week on Tuesday) but I just received a phone call from the hospital that I would be receiving my results by telephone tomorrow instead - over a week earlier than expected. I'm trying not be too worried but do drs give bad news over the phone? And is it normal for a results appointment to be moved up?

I'm only 20 and I'm so scared sorry again to be posting on here :/

  • Oh don't apologise for posting your concerns, it's so natural to be worried & the way things are being carried out due to COVID does nothing but increase anxiety.

Hoping your results are good, but knowing and not having to wait any longer will be a step forward. I know I'm finding waiting awful - I think knowing what we're dealing with is better for our state of mind.

Here if you need me, let me know how you get on xx
