Possible Lymphoma??

Hi everyone,

 

I've been reading alot of threads to try to get a sense of what I should do here. I went to the doctors a couple weeks ago for swollen lymph nodes behind both my ear. The doctor at the time gave me a perscription of anti biotics and told me to come back in a week if it's still there.

 

I think they might have helped? The lymph nodes did shrink in size and one side is basically flat now. But one side grew larger again yesterday. 

 

My question is basically, if it was cancer would the nodes be shirking/disappearing/changing? Should I go back ?

    I'm glad you decided to post a question after reading our posts here, as it does help to talk with those who can relate.

    As I'm not a doctor I can't say if you need to be further concerned about the lymph node you noticed so it may be a good idea to phone your doctor the next time you have a chance and ask if they think you still need to be seen. In the meantime, feel free to give our cancer nurses a call on this number 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday, between 9 a.m - 5 p.m. and ask them for their opinion.
