U4 nodules on my thyroid

I have had pains in my neck since June down the right side of my neck since my operation on my gall bladder.  In October the other side of my neck was tender. My lymph nodes where swollen, so I went to see my GP and they ordered a ultrasound scan.  Fast forward to 2weeks ago I had a biopsy of my U4 nodule, and awaited the report.  Well the report is back and I have an appointment with the consultant on the 2nd December provisional booking.

I'm gaining weight, pain in my neck, fatigue, breathless.  I'm just hoping all is well but I have a feeling its not.

My youngest son has been having treatment for Hodkins lymphoma since 2016.

What advice can you give me?

Thank you in advance

  • Hello d-holson,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I hope that your appointment on the 2nd of December goes well and that it sheds some light on what is going on.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be despite all these symptoms you have been experiencing. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,
