Biopsy

Hi everybody.  I've never posted on anything like this before. I just feel the need to download a little as not telling many friends / family at this stage.  I've got a strong family history of breast cancer - sister/ aunt / grandmother - so I have annual mammograms & got all clear In June.  Was back for an ultrasound/ aspiration of a couple of cysts on my left in September. This is quite common for me.  Unusually the Dr didnt drain  any on the right but they were less problematic at the time. Was back at hospital last night for the cysts on the left which had grown so much they were externally visible. Whilst aspirating the (same)  Dr became obviously concerned that one cyst produced dark fluid /was firm / didn't want to empty.  She cross referenced with June mammogram and said this was something new.  Biopsy taken but results might take over 2 weeks.  She says they'd have to have a meeting to discuss my case.  Feeling like it sounds clear cut.  Also going through divorce / just got a fab new job.  Not sure I can take any more in 2020 but I know we all feel that way xx

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long to find out but I hope this article will help in the meantime. I'm sure our community will do what they can to support you during this time as well.
