Lump that gets smaller on period

Hi,

Does anybody know if it's a good sign if a lump gets smaller during a menstrual cycle?

I'm only 22 but I seem to have such lumpy breasts and since they are so small it's so easy to feel lumps and ropey breast tissue just before my menstrual cycle.

However, the lumps do get smaller once my period starts, so just wondering if this is a good sign.

Thankyou

I'm sorry to hear that you're concerned about some lumps in your breast. It's good to know that you're checking yourself regularly and that you are aware of the fact that these lumps do change with your cycle.

It's not uncommon for younger women to have breast lumps but it is still important to get things checked out - if only for your own peace of mind. I'd suggest giving your GP surgery a call in the first instance. You may be able to make an appointment with a practice nurse to get them checked and have some reassurance.

    Best wishes,
