Worrying mole, changing daily

Hello,

 

I have recently been referred to a dermatologist for an appointment for a mole that my GP said ticks every red flag. It's a mole I've had a while but my husband noticed it had changed, since seeing the GP the mole is growing/raising from the surface what seems like daily. I have laid in my shoulder blade, which is under where the mole is and I'm worried it could of spread? 
 

Am I worrying over nothing or should I be concerned? Has anyone had similar and the mole has turned out ok??

    I'm sorry to hear that you're waiting on an appointment with the dermatologist at the moment. I think that lots of our members here will know how difficult this period of waiting for appointments and subsequent tests/results can be. It's natural to be feeling worried about what may be going on. 

    It can help to talk to someone about your concerns and I wondered if you'd like to chat things through with one of our nurses. I'm sure they would be able to offer some advice and support whilst you're waiting for your first consultant appointment. If you'd like to talk to them they're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040. 

    I hope that you don't have to wait too long for your appointment and that the Consultant is able to give you some reassurance.
