So I went for a smear test a year and a half ago now and it was unsuccessful. (Very nervous) The nurse asked me if I was sexually active to which I replied yes. She proceeded with the speculum before trying the smaller speculum. She said she was unable to do it. I sat up and half naked on the examination chair and she questioned if I'd ever had sex before and advised I used sex toys to stretch the area and if I wasn't able to have it done at the next appointment I would have to be referred somewhere else other than my doctors surgery! I kept putting making an appointment off and then became pregnant! My son is now 6 months old and I'm due to have a smear test on Wednesday! I'm so scared that the same thing will happen again or even worse!
