Abdominal pain after Lletz treatment

Hi

just looking for some help and advice really, I have a colonoscopy done around three months ago after showing abnormal cells, three weeks later I went on to have Lletz treatment. After the colonoscopy I was given antibiotics due to an infection, no bad smelly discharge or bleeding just feeling unwell and severe abdominal pain. I'm now 9 weeks post Lletz treatment and still have severe pains especially after intercourses (which happened for the first time last week) I've called the docs but they just said to take pain killers but it's getting unbearable. Has anyone else experience abdominal pain after either of these treatments? Could it be a possible infection?

    Hello Emma and welcome to our forum! 

    I think it would be worth getting in touch with the doctors again and mentioning that the painkillers are not working at all and that this pain is getting unbearable and whether there is anything they can do to help you. I think it's definitely worth having a chat about this again and even considering getting a second opinion if you feel that you are not getting anywhere and you want to rule out a possible infection. You can find out more about this on this page.
