Hi,

I found a hard area on one of my breasts, assumed it would be nothing but saw gp a week and a half ago anyway just to be safe. Went feeling a bit stupid & assuming/hoping she would tell me she either couldn't feel it or was perfectly normal. She referred me to the breast clinic. They phoned at the end of last week and I have an appointment this week now.

Not thinking about it too much & assuming everything will be fine as my age etc has me low risk. 

But I'm just wondering if anyone could tell me what actually happens at the breast clinic? I got the appt letter in the post after they phoned but it doesn' give any info about what actually happens when you're there.

The man on the phone when they phoned me to arrange the appt said it would last for 3 hours. Just wondering what would last that long. 

Also wondering if they weigh you while you'e there? Strange question I know, sorry.
